Under the auspices of the Association of Railway Freight Carriers \u017dESNAD.cz, a professional Technical Seminar was held in Olomouc on 22 November 2021, the program of which focused on the use of new technologies on the railways. Students of the 1st year of the follow-up master’s study of our school had the opportunity to participate in the seminar and get acquainted with the interesting topics that the organizers offered in the program. They were particularly interested in the topics focused on the use of new technologies to facilitate the work of train drivers and their training. Representatives of companies dealing with this issue presented new possibilities for the use of virtual reality in the field of driver training in both training and professional training. An important helper for the performance of the service is the application of the new navigation for drivers, where drivers will have navigation available on their tablets. Providing the necessary information on current track conditions for drivers can be considered as a benefit in terms of increasing safety in rail transport. A product that is able to link data from the driver’s tablet to the haulier’s personnel agenda can facilitate the work of drivers and HR staff. The intention of the seminar organizer to present and make available new solutions for the use of modern technologies on the railway to employees of carriers, other companies and organizations, as well as schools, has succeeded.<\/p>\n\n
